About the role:

As a Senior Expert ASIC/SOC and part of the Cruise Munich Software Advanced Engineering team, you will be working on challenging new Software topics for our cutting edge High Resolution Radars. You will collaborate closely with other departments and with the US team.

What you will be doing:

  • Working on new software and hardware concepts for our next generation high resolution radar sensors

  • Evaluate new hardware components like SoC or high speed ADCs

  • Support in the definition and validation of future platforms

  • With your understanding of complex systems and your experience on different processing platforms you ensure to achieve best performance of our High Resolution Radar

  • You enjoy working in an interdisciplinary team of experts in multiple domains to achieve best performance

Ihr Profil

You should apply for this role if you have the following qualifications: 

  • University degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Information and Communication Technology, etc.,  or a similar educational background

  • Several years of experience in working with digital platforms (SoC) and their main processing modules, such as DSPs, FPGAs or ARM cores

  • Advanced knowledge in HW/SW Codesign

  • Familiarity with embedded Linux

  • Excellent C/C++ coding skills

  • Experienced knowledge in VHDL and System Verilog

  • Advanced use of Xilinx Development Tools such as Vivado

  • Knowledge on radar systems and the signal processing chain of modern radar systems for automotive applications

  • Profound English language skills and at least intermediate German language skills


Nice to have:

  • GitHub and git experience

  • Experience with Jira/Confluence

  • System C, Fixed point C and Python knowledge
