Cruise is looking for a Staff Electronic Engineer (f/m/d) to help us design state of the art hardware for our radar sensors.

 About the role:

  •  Developing complex mixed-signal electrical designs involving: SoC, high speed digital interfaces, analog circuitry and power supply design. 

  • Owning the design cycle of PCBs; architecture/system definition, component selection, schematic design, simulation, layout, bring-up, verification and manufacturing 

  • Performing design validation including environmental and EMC testing

  • Recommending, documenting and implementing best practices for hardware development 

  • Collaborating with mechanical, thermal, software, design, quality assurance, manufacturing, and program management teams on product integration and reliability

Ihr Profil
  • University degree in electrical engineering or similar, and several years (7+) of experience in the field of electrical engineering

  • Experience with high speed PCB layout design such as signal and power integrity simulations and measurements

  • Extensive experience with board bringup, debugging, design verification, and production

  • Experience with high performance PCB layout and fabrication techniques

  • Experience with electrical designs regarding EMC & frequency regulations. 

  • Understanding of requirements traceability, configuration management and production release

  • Business fluent English language skills


 

Bonus Points

  • Experience with automotive, aerospace or military compliance standards such as ISO 26262, ISO 16750, MIL-STD 810G/461, RTCA DO160, IEC 61508,

  • Experience developing automotive, radar sensors or similar technologies or networking products
